While the iconic Lansdowne Hotel is not a New Kid on the Block by any means but it has recently received a much deserved make-over.
The site is feeling the love from new operators Ben Walsh and Dan Rice who took possession of the venue back in October 2010 and the once dingy pub is like a shadow of its former self – testament to what a good lick of paint and some finer touches can do.
“Live music is going to continue to be a huge part of this place,” Walsh stated when they took ownership – it’s now up and running again and throughout the week the venue plays host to a rocking line-up.
Monday Night ‘Uni’s a Breeze’ night with DJs and cheap drinks, ‘Lansdowns Live’ on Friday featuring top rock bands and Sunday night’s ‘Battle of the Uni Bands’, an all out rock comp that’ll be sure to end your week well.
