It’s that time of year again: the lads from Melbourne’s Black Pearl are parading their pastiest parts, showing off their bartender tan and stuffing santa hats with their swizzling sticks for their 2014 calendar.
Each year they get the gear off for the calendar, with the funds going to charity (this year it’s for a prostate cancer charity). They’ve also corralled folks from New York bars Employees Only and Experimental Cocktail Club to get their kit off for the cause, and, said bartender Samuel Ng in an email to us, there’s a mix of group shots and individual shots : “it’s us in a variety of nude, compromising positions, with things that reflect our personality. For instance, in my case, my photo includes fernet and fried chicken.”
And that doesn’t leave much to the imagination.
The calendar is available for sale for just $25 from this Monday the 23rd at the bar at Black Pearl. If you’re interstate or overseas and just have to see what is behind the stick, you can email blackpearlcalendar@outlook.com and they’ll arrange to post you one for $25 plus postage costs.
