Entries for the Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge will close at 11.59pm on Monday 15 June – that’s this Monday coming! Wannabe champions should enter via the island2island Facebook page.
They will need to create and upload an image of a cocktail containing:
- At least 30ml of any Angostura Rum
- At least 5 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters
- No more than 6 ingredients • No homemade ingredients
- Use island2island portfolio products where appropriate
Heats will be held in each state throughout July and August this year on the following dates:
- Monday 27 July – WA
- Tuesday 28 July – SA
- Monday 3 August – NSW
- Monday 10 August – VIC
- Monday 17 August – QLD
The national final will take place on 31 August in Sydney.
Bartenders will be competing for one of the biggest prizes in the game with AU$10,000 in cash plus a 12 month contract as the Australian Angostura Brand Ambassador up for grabs, not to mention a trip to Trinidad during Carnival to compete for the global title, where the overall winner will receive US$10,000 and a two year contract as Angostura Global Brand Ambassador.
