Lucky Chan’s Laundry & Noodlebar: A crowd funding success in Perth

Lucky Chan’s Laundry & Noodlebar
311 William Street, Perth

If you were sceptical about crowd-funding, then this bar is all the evidence you need that it actually works, claiming the title of Australia’s first crowd-funded bar. Lucky Chan’s in Northbridge is a multi-level eatery serving up delicious ramen, baos, dumplings and more. Upon entry diners will wander through a faux laundry which leads to a long ground-floor bar. The whole venue is a nod to the role Chinese immigrants have had in shaping the local culture, in particular the Chinese laundry as well as restaurants, cafes and small eating houses that served the delicious food of their homeland.

Expect a super modern take on a Chinese menu with ‘Boss Baos’ such as the cheeseburger bao with beef, cheese, pickle and ketchup in a sesame bao or bulgogi beef loaded fries with beef, kimchi, nacho cheese and gochujang aioli. And in truly modern style, this is the joint to get your grown-up bubble teas with eight on the menu including the China Blue with tequila, blue curacao, lime, agave, yuzu, soda and cherry pearls.
