Pronounced ‘Neighbour and Four’, this new venue brings the spirit of a neighbourhood bar into the city from well-known Perth bar identities Kaden Pool (Palace Arcade, Long Chim) and brothers Kody and Nic Read (Rocked Ice).
The team took over the Varga Girl site, situated on the iconic Oxford Street strip to create a home-style bar with a focus on community.
Showcasing local produce in two spaces, Naber + IIII invites people to enjoy the contrast of their two distinctive spaces, which whilst residing in the same location, offer contrasting experiences in their own right.
‘Naber’ is the intimate cocktail kitchen that faces out to Oxford Street in Leederville. Here, guests will find a refined inside space that is focused around a central communal table surrounded by booths and nooks. Completely unique to a traditional ‘bar’, Naber creates a space that is perfect for connecting with people around you.
The owners say the ambiguity of the name was intentional; “so that guests have no expectation or understanding of the venue before entering the unique space. They can then make of it what they want”.
‘IIII’, on the other hand, is the breezy all-day courtyard that can be accessed from the rear of Electric laneway, bring more raucous vibes. The all-day-all-night disco, party space is a combination of equal parts chilled garden bar and vibing disco party. This more informal and relaxed space places an emphasis on bigger flavours and more fun, with beer garden styled service, where you find a seat and keep it!

Naber’s menu also juxtaposes the traditional notion of what a classic cocktail list should look like, understanding that cocktail culture has become very specialised and intimidating. Hence, their innovative cocktail list, which is very approachable and easy to understand.
Outstanding service is a focus of the venue, and despite the distinct and separate nature of the venues, the whole space has an overarching emphasis on community and connection.
